One Egypt map for finding a place, following the road, and showing it under your own name

Damakan Maps is owned and operated by EG Stars—a map of Egypt you can search, travel, and show under your own name. Arabic and English sit on the same streets. One map covers the place, the road, the look, and the picture you send to someone else.

Find a place

Type a square, a street, or a neighborhood and the map moves there. Suggestions appear while the words are still unfinished, so a few letters are enough to choose. Search can return a short list or a longer one when you need more choices. Open any result and you get that place on its own: the name, where it sits, and the point on the map.

The other direction works too. Touch a spot and the map tells you the nearest place, in Arabic or in English.

Follow the road

Set a start and an end. The line follows the streets, not a straight cut across the city. You can go by car, bike, on foot, or by truck. Beside the line you get the distance, the time, and the turns along the way.

Ask for another way when the first road is not the one you want. Ask only for the time, or only for the distance, when the picture of the route is not what you need. When many starts and many destinations matter at once, the map can compare them together: which pickup is closest, which drop-off takes longer, which pair is the short trip. A wandering path can be pulled back onto the street, so a rough trace becomes a road you can follow.

See Egypt

The map runs from the Delta to Aswan, and from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea. Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Luxor, the canal cities, and the resorts on the Red Sea are on the same map. Zoom out for the country. Zoom in for the street. Labels can be Arabic or English. The streets stay the same. Only the names change.

Choose the light

The same city can look like day, night, a quiet drawing, a hybrid view, or the ground from above. Switch the look and the place does not move. Tilt the view and the land can rise, so hills and the shape of the ground show instead of a flat sheet. When you need a picture instead of a moving map, Damakan can draw a still image of any center, at the size and the look you choose. That picture can sit in a message, a page, or a receipt.

Make it yours

The map can wear your color, your start pin, your end pin, and your name. Two products can show the same Cairo and still look like two different brands. The map can also live inside your own screen: a frame of the city, the search, and the route, still Damakan underneath, still your name on top. On a phone it is the same map. Search, suggestions, the road, the turns, and the language you chose.

What you can do with it

  • Look up an address and land on the point.
  • Read the place under your finger.
  • Offer suggestions while someone is still typing.
  • Draw a route for a car, a bike, a walk, or a truck.
  • Show the time, the distance, and the turns.
  • Offer another route.
  • Compare many places at once.
  • Pull a rough path back onto the road.
  • Show the country in Arabic or in English.
  • Switch between day, night, a quiet map, a hybrid view, and the view from above.
  • Raise the land into relief.
  • Share a still picture of the map.
  • Put your colors and your name on the map.
  • Place that map inside your own product, and on a phone.
